Fowlers Beach, 1987, Easem ent, 7.18 Acres.
Framed by Rosa rugosa and beach grass, this beautiful double-horseshoe sandy beach is used for community recreation. Fowler’s Beach is owned by the Long Island Civic Association (LICA) and includes open space on marshy upland portions.
The site captures views of the dunes at Fowlers Beach along with its rocky spit and tidal pool. It is westward facing with parking on the opposite side of the beach where a protected wetland is located. The site captures photos that show gradual erosion and signs of sea-level rise.
